Experimental indie rock.

PA ~ What gravitated you toward your artistic work?

Calling from the inside. It all comes from the heart.

PA ~ Who are your influenced by?

Beatles, Pretenders, Wendy O' Williams, Shellac, the Carpenters, Motorhead.

PA ~ I understand you have a EP "Models of Virtue", what is the listener / viewer in store for?

Our new, "Models of Virtue" E.P. is recorded by engineer Mike Terry (Foo Fighters, Eagles). It is electric lead bass and Drums. Gene Trautmann (drummer for the Eagles of Death Metal & ex-Queens of the Stoneage) has a unique style that contributes to the all around style of Evil Beaver. It is a collaborations of two to song writers in the band that make it so great.

PA ~ How is "Models of Virtue" being received?

Wonderfully, people love it. A lot of great reviews!

PA ~ Do you have a favorite composition on  "Models of Virtue"?

Gene and I are always writing. We are scheduled to record in L.A. @ New Monkey Studios in mid June. We have 12 new songs to record.

PA ~ Do you perform solo or normally with a group?

PA ~ Do you perform outside of your hometown?

Yes, we perform all over the world. New Zealand/Australia, Europe, USA, Canada.

PA ~ During your artistic journey so far, any interesting stories come to mind you'd like to share with us?

One time in New Orleans we where playing in front of a group of wild fans. That started shooting their guns in the air.

PA ~ Give us your thoughts on the indie music scene good and not so good.

There is a lot of good music out there and a lot of great bands. The industry is trying to exploit these bands for money and also signs copy cat bands to use and abuse for a quick buck. Now a days that has become harder for the labels to do that because the power is starting to return to the artist and the artist are not so dependant on labels. Radio plays a lot a junk. The labels buy radio air time for copy cat bands. That will always remain a fact but at least real artists are able to promote on the internet and by touring.

PA ~  How is the artistic scene in  Los Angeles evolving?

In L.A.,  it seems like a lot of the people involved in the music business are money motivated. A style becomes popular and everybody tries to copy that style. Fortunately, music is coming from cities outside of LA as well. I think the internet has made it easier to be heard from all over the globe.

PA ~ What has the highlight of your career been?

Playing with Gene Trautmann. Making music with him is a dream come true.

PA ~ What are some goals you hope to accomplish in the future?

I would like to release another CD this year. I would like a tour Japan.

PA ~ What are your other interests outside of music?

Taiji, Sculpting, Performance Art, Surfing, Biking, Travelling, Reading about Animals, Spending time with loved ones.

PA ~ What was the best piece of advice you ever heard that motivates you in pursuit of your artistry?

At J.F.K. Space Center, " Whatever you can conceive, you can achieve."
