David Hare is a guitar-playing singer and songwriter based in Los Angeles, California. David Hare has released his CD entitled Demonstration. Hare’s CD blends a variety of musical flavors that combines rock, alternative, and progressive folk styles. David Hare has completed his first video for his song Coming Home from his CD. David Hare developed an interest in music early in life with influences from The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Yes, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, and David Bowie. Great vocalists as Robert Plant, Freddie Mercury, Steven Tyler, Ian Gillan, Brad Delp, Steve Perry, and Jon Anderson influenced Hare immensely. By 17, Hare taught himself the guitar; attributing the late Tommy Bolin as his strong musical influence. David Hare’s formal music education began at Pasadena City College, California, where he majored in Music with emphasis on Voice and Vocal Performance. Hare continued his education at The Boston Conservatory where he majored in Musical Theater. While studying at the Conservatory he performed in various musicals and plays. In addition to studying voice, Hare studied Acting, where he was recognized and praised for his unique approach to acting. During his senior year he collaborated on and performed in an original musical, as well as directing two plays and acting in a television role. After graduating from The Boston Conservatory, David Hare began singing and co-writing for a New Zealand Rock group called Russia. Hare and the band’s first public appearance was performing live for a national television broadcast in New Zealand. After this well received introduction, Hare and the band spent nine months playing sold out shows at large venues. David Hare returned to Hollywood, California and began writing and performing locally as a solo acoustic artist. Hare’s dedication and talents have gained the respect of many of his peers within the songwriting community. He writes and performs his original songs, pleasing audiences in the USA with his solo acoustic sets. David Hare brings honesty and depth to his work, and has a loyal following. DAVID HARE’S DEBUT CD "DEMONSTRATION" NOW AVAILABLE LATEST PROJECT FROM LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA SINGER-SONGWRITER DAVID HARE
During his decade plus on the Los Angeles, California singer-songwriter scene, David Hare has performed acoustic solo sets to audiences throughout Southern California in venues ranging from the smallest of intimate coffee houses to large concert theaters. Now he's headed in a new direction with the completion of his first fully produced music video. The video coincides with the release of his new album. Demonstration, Self-released on the David Hare Music label, features all original songs written and performed by David Hare.
With Demonstration, David Hare opens a window into his songwriting along with his guitar and vocal talents. The result is a collection of songs ranging from "Treaty Betrayed," an alternative flavored track based on an unusual, yet distinctive rhythmic assault of drums and acoustic guitar, to the simple acoustic pop guitar and vocal performance of "Waking Dream". Listeners will also find "Time Heals" with sincere lyrics, heartfelt vocals and delicious electric guitar runs alongside the track "Coming Home" chosen for the video. While earlier projects have been the result of creative partnerships, Demonstration sets itself apart as a clear representation of David Hare’s solo talents and his ever-evolving musical vision.
